I have to tell you, those glasses that she gave me… the first night I had them, I used them when I got home to watch TV, I went to bed and I fell right asleep. And I haven’t done that in years. I wore them last night and I did the same thing… and I didn’t even take a sleeping pill! It’s like heaven!

You do transform yourself and how you’re eating. You just feel so much better, you have no interest in ever going back. And the other thing is you’re not addicted anymore. You’re not consuming things that not only do not satiate you, but it creates an addiction.

I have not had like any carb cravings this whole time. Like I have not had a single cheat. I don’t like feel any instinct to have dessert or anything.

I was kind of worried thinking it doesn’t sound like it’s going to be fun. But right now, there are so many benefits of feeling better, and being better. But this IS fun! Measuring things out, and knowing that it is helping me is actually really fun–just the idea of using food in that way, like what you put in your body and how you put it in–the recipes that Liat gives me. It’s really all fun for me! At this point, the most surprising improvement is this overall sense of calmness—it’s like a compassion or a calmness where my body just seems like it is in a state of rest.

As addicted to sugar as I was, this has been a lot easier than I thought it would be. A lot of the time I would think about what I eat next… it’s been all positive. An unexpected side effect, which has been great.

Especially the fact that I’m not that hungry, it’s good. This is a good thing. I’m never in this state, never. I can out eat my husband, that was my usual. That’s the thing, I get that satiated feeling cause I ask myself OK did I have enough here?  But I’m comfortable, this is good. And I was not good at judging that, because, you know I was always an eater. So that’s a good thing.
